Ascent Systems Technologies and Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS) at UBC-Vancouver signed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in integrated sustainable technology systems analysis and performance optimization.

Volodimir Grebenyuk: I used to launch rockets into space, worked on satellite communication, automated air traffic control and defense systems. Now I am "back to Earth", bringing with me knowledge of space technology and systems architecture methodology. Combined with the modern techniques of machine learning it results in the autonomous systems design which completely change the way clean energy is generated and critical services like communication or weather monitoring are delivered.
